PersonalityEdit

StoryEdit

Legend of Zelda (NES)Edit

In the very first game, Zelda is a classic damsel in distress. She was confronted by Ganon for the Triforce of Wisdom but refused to give it to him and split it into pieces. Ganon then took her as a prisoner. She is rescued by Link at the end of the game.

Zelda II: Adventure of LinkEdit

This Zelda is technically the first Zelda. Many years ago, she was cursed by her brother, the Prince, and put into a deep sleep for not giving him the Triforce. This tragedy caused the royal family to name every girl in the family Zelda. Her story is technically the "Legend of Zelda". After many years of sleeping, Zelda is woken up by the same Link that saved her relative of the same name in the first game.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the PastEdit

Many years before the first game, this Zelda was captured by Agahnim. She was rescued by Link and brought to a sanctuary. While Link was away, the sanctuary was raided and she was taken back into Agahnim's captivity. She was imprisoned in the Dark World at Turtle Rock until Link finally rescued her.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of TimeEdit

This Zelda exists even further back in time. She first meets Link after he sneaks into the courtyard. She then tells him her plan to stop Ganondorf who she believes is dangerous due to a prophetic dream she had. Later in the game, after Link has obtained all three Spiritual Stones, she is forced to flee Hyrule Castle when it is attacked by Ganondorf. She throws Link the Ocarina of Time as she is escaping with Impa. A telepathic message encoded in the Ocarina allows her to teach Link the Song of Time.

During the seven years Link was asleep, she developed the persona known as Sheik. She appears before Link multiple times to teach Link special songs. When he finally rescued the six sages, she reveals herself to be Zelda. At this time, she is captured by Ganondorf and brought to what was Hyrule Castle. Link faces off with Ganondorf and later, Ganon, and Zelda uses her power to seal him away. After the battle Zelda apologizes for the troubles she has put Link through and sends him back to before he pulled the Master Sword out, thus creating the famous timeline split. Link then meets with her as a child to warn her and prevent the events from ever happening in this timeline.

Legend of Zelda: Oracle of SeasonsEdit

Legend of Zelda: Oracle of AgesEdit

Legend of Zelda: Majora's MaskEdit

The Zelda from Ocarina of Time only appears in a short flashback in which she reteaches Link the Song of Time.
