Zelda II: Adventure of LinkEdit

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the PastEdit

This Link is a completely different one than the first two games. He also exists before the previous Link in the timeline. Link lives with his uncle in a small cottage near Hyrule Castle. On a stormy night, Link is woken up by a telepathic message from Zelda telling him to come to Hyrule Castle and save her. His uncle leaves and Link follows him into the castle but is met by his dying uncle, who gives him his sword and shield. After making his way through the castle, Link rescues Zelda from the dungeon, is told about the sorcerer Agahnim and uses the secret catacombs to escape to the Sanctuary near Kakariko Village. Link is then pointed in the direction of Sahrasala ,the sage, and begins to set out. Upon meeting Sahrasala, he is sent to retrieve a pendant from the Eastern Palace. Link does so and returns and is told of the other two pendants he needs to retrieve in order to draw the sword to defeat Agahnim. Link retrieves the second pendant and heads up Death Mountain for the third. He is warped into the Dark World for the first time here and takes the form of a pink rabbit. He uses the Magic Mirror he recieved on his way up the mountain to return to the Light World, obtains an item that allows him to remain human in the Dark World and claims the final pendant. Link then travels to the Forest of Light and draws the Master Sword.

When he returns to the Sanctuary, Zelda is gone and the pastor is dying quickly. Link heads back to Hyrule Castle and battles Agahnim, winning temporarily. He is only able to watch as Zelda is moved to the Dark World. Agahnim then does the same to him.

In the Dark World, Link set out to rescue the seven other maidens and Zelda from captivity in the Dark World's dungeons. Using his ability to move between Light and Dark Worlds at will, he finally rescues the maidens and Zelda and takes the fight to Agahnim. Once more, he is defeated, however, this time he transforms into his true form of Ganon. Link defeats Ganon and makes a wish on the Triforce to return the Dark World to its true form.

Note: This Link is currently the only one who has made use of the completed Triforce.
